Stefan Davidovici - Air City 2

"The drawings are a continuous way of exploring the architectural space freely, without the constraints of regular Architecture - always born from function, site, budget and so on. In any case the reasons for which we build an architectural space tend to become irrelevant in time. Drawing, you are free to overwrite a couple of hundreds of years, and go see what Architecture born from unknown functions may look like. Drawings by Stefan Davidovici, Architect in Milan"

Baptiste Debombourg

Baptiste Debombourg - Let's talk about architecture... (1999)

"It is a matter of the relation between the outer decorative appearance of a building and the perception its occupants have of it. Renovate social housings is a current trend : the proposition of adornment or frame for windows and doors applies itself like a sort of « kit » to assemble on the façade. The definite classical shape contradicts the used material and the spirit of the façade on which the material is applied." (txt: Baptiste Debombourg)

Yvonne Lacet

Yvonne Lacet - Playground (2008-2009)

The project Playground is about construction and deconstruction. Cities that have been built, and that constantly change, grow, diminish. Areas that spread throughout the land and areas that are repudiated and slowly fall apart.

Rechnender Raum

Ralf Baecker - Rechnender Raum (Inverted Machine) (2007)

"The inverted machine - Rechnender Raum (Calculating Space) is a light-weight sculpture, constructed from sticks, strings and little plumbs. It is a full functional logic exact neural network. Through its strict geometric and otherwise very filigree construction, the observer is able to track the whole processing logic from every viewpoint around the machine. The core of the machine, with all its computing elements, is shifted outwards on the surface, while the "display" which indicates the results of the tasks is displaced into the center of the system.
